IMMOLATO TOMATOES were the first punk band in Brighton to actively be inspired by the American hardcore punk scene and in many ways set the foundations on the south coast for many bands that followed. A regular support band at countless shows over a couple of years, the band never got as far as an official release – until now! In association with the band and with liner notes from both singer Allen Silburn and guitarist Mike Shreeve, all three of the bands demos from 1986-88 have been re-mastered and compiled for the latest release on the Boss Tuneage Retro series. Although the band dissolved in 1988, Allen went on to form SLEEP who would release a couple of records in the early 90s on Meantime Records, whilst Mike also was stand in guitarist for the STUPIDS for a while. It is a must own for those fans of fast energetic hardcore punk in the Minor Threat / 7 Seconds / Circle Jerks style and a fitting document to a very overlooked band!
