MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL review of
SECTION 13 - "BURNING BRIDGES" CD

This could possibly be one of the best things I have heard out of England in the past twenty odd years. From start to finish this CD is relentless. It's hardcore but it's so damn infectious, the riffs so killer that it almost defies the category. Fronted by ex VISIONS OF CHANGE / DEPRAVED front man Ian Murphy, whose vocals come across as a mix of SHAWN BROWN (SWIZ / DAG NASTY) and RAY CAPPO (YOUTH OF TODAY). It's got that early American hardcore vibe specially in the Washington DC department, but it's bringing something new, maybe it's the energy pushed to the max or it's the unexpected twists and turns or maybe it's just the wisdom of age and a life long conviction to the ?music?. It's got that GOVERNMENT ISSUE style of not being predictable whilst having the chaotic spirit of RIPCORD and HERESY. Every song is something special, written to perfection and played to a fault. My only complaint is that this was not sent in a vinyl review with an extra copy for the reviewer, but then again I am just a greedy bastard for great music.(SD)
